Bonsai only creates an account if you choose to use Partner Mode (a shared tree with a friend). Single-player use needs no account at all. You can delete your account and its data yourself, at any time, from inside the app — no need to contact us.
Deletion is immediate and permanent.
If you no longer have the app installed, email harmoniousminds1@gmail.com (or copy the address: harmoniousminds1@gmail.com) with the subject Account deletion request. Tell us the display name you used and, if you know it, your shared tree's invite code. We will delete the account and confirm within 30 days.

We keep no backups of deleted accounts, and no retention period applies.
